Health Service Accounts
Updated: Dec 28, 2018
Cheri Hill is joined by Grace Daidone, the Health Benefits Consultant from A&H Insurance. Grace has a combined twenty-five years of experience with human resources and health benefits. Today she is here to share some knowledge on Health Service Accounts.
A Health Savings Account (HSA), is a tax-advantaged medical account, which is available to tax payers enrolled in a high deductible health plan. Any funds contributed to the account are not subject to federal income tax, at time of deposit. And any portion of an HSA that is not spent at the end of the year, rolls over to the next year.
Grace answers other questions, such as how to set up an HSA, who can contribute to an HSA account, and limits on how much can be given at a time.
