Annie Goni-Stewart - For Kids Foundation
Started in 2003, originally as the charity portion of the Kids Behavioral Health group, The For Kids Foundation has since then grown into the organization it is today. Their goal is to provide help in whatever way they can for youth in need. In many cases its financial support for medical needs, or even travel for medical assistance. Annie Goni-Stewart and Cheri Hill herself work with For Kids Foundation as Executive Director and Board Chair respectively.
Some of their many recent success stories include; donating a laptop so a young man could study and seriously look at starting classes, partnering with Ronald McDonald House to help a family get to Oakland for a specialized surgery, and supplying a portable oxygen device for a nineteen year old boy waiting on an open heart surgery.
As a non-profit organization, For Kids relies on donations and events to generate income for what they do. If you are interested in attending, consider one of their two upcoming events.
June 1st, 2019 is the 16th Annual Wine and Cheese event, this year held at The Grove on 95 Foothill Road, Reno NV 89511. This event will feature a silent auction, with all proceeds going to For Kids Foundation.
Later in the summer, For Kids has partnered with Nevada Equine Assisted Therapy (NEAT), to hold a family concert at Bartley Ranch. Proceeds from the event will sponsor children to attend NEAT programs. The venue will feature food trucks, beverages, and a raffle. This concert will be September 7th from 4:00-10:00 PM at 6000 Bartley Ranch Rd, Reno, NV 89511.
